Homemade Tzatziki Sauce

Tzatziki is a simple Greek yogurt sauce that adds creamy, tangy flavor to everything from grilled meats to grain bowls. This easy version is made with actual pantry staples, so it comes together in minutes with minimal effort!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup full fat Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup finely diced cucumber English cucumber is best and doesn't require peeling. If not using an English cucumber, peel before dicing.
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp dried dill or 1 tbsp fresh dill

Method
 

  1. Prep the cucumber by dicing it into small pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic clove, salt and dill.
  3. Stir well, and taste. Adjust the sauce according to your liking with salt.

Notes

Store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. It may separate slightly, just stir before serving.
